Progress update: August

General

The plans for the launch party are coming along well – we’ve created the Black Dog Ride to the Red Centre Launch Party! facebook event so people can let us know if they will be attending on the morning of the 5th September. So far we’ve only heard back from 22 of our Facebook fans, and welcome you all to become a fan & get along to the launch event. Heading off on a trip of this nature can seem daunting, but made easier by seeing friendly, smiling faces there to wave us off. Will you be one of those smiling faces?

Sponsor Update: Last week, Raz & I had our bikes serviced by Alon from Love Motorcycles in Waitara. Both of us can’t believe the transformation in the bikes after a major service. Alon spends the time to make sure the job is done right, and goes above what you ask for – as an example, my chain still has life in it, but he recommends having it checked when I get back. It’s certainly reassuring to have someone as knowledgeable and supportive like Alon to prepare the bikes before their big journey!

Publicity: We’re getting into the busy period with the mainstream press as the launch date looms: we made it into the St George & Sutherland Shire Leader in August & have a radio interview & newspaper interview/photo shoot coming up this week (w/c 23rd August). We know Jazzy has more in the works for us so will keep you updated as we go along!

Rider Update: There are currently 70+ riders entered for the Black Dog Ride! A number of them will come with us from the Kick-off meeting at Deus Motorcycles, 98-104 Parramatta Rd Camperdown. We will be contacting all riders coming with us to advise them of some of the riding rules/expectations along the ride.

Ride safe and we hope to see you there!
